The terms “Quality Control” and “quality assurance” are often used to refer to various systems that are used by organizations to enhance high quality standards especially for goods and services that have been manufactured. Quality Control is basically a system of custom technical activities that are put in place in order to gauge and control the inventory’s quality during development. On the other hand, Quality Assurance refers to the systematic processes of production that are used to guarantee confidence in the suitability of a product or service for its intended use. The term Quality Control is usually expressed together with quality assurance. This is usually in the form of (QA, QC). Quality Control especially in organizations and companies are guided by ISO standards. These guidelines are helpful in a number of ways. One, the guidelines and standards help offer alternatives to other source specific Quality Control/ quality assurance methods. The ISO guidelines and standards are also used by organizations to supplement source specific Quality Control/ quality assurance methods and procedures for the inventory developments. In addition, guidelines and procedures offer companies and organizations guidance for guaranteeing transparent reporting system and data quality in Quality Control. Such ISO series include ISO 9001, ISO 9000, ISO 9004-1. These are used by organizations and companies to provide general quality guidelines and to implement quality improvement for their services and products. Other ISO series that are used by companies and organizations include ISO 10005 and 100011-1. ISO 10005 and 100011-1 help offer guidelines to the organizations and companies on how to generate quality plans. It also offers them ideas on how to regulate specific objects and enhance systematic audit of Quality Control systems.

Various set of activities and systems Quality Control that are intended to promote Quality Control improvement have been created for adoption by organizations and companies. These include six sigma, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP). These can be implemented effectively by adopting an effective Quality Control program. While doing so, it is usually advisable for an organization or individual to decide the specific standards that the product or service is required to meet in order to enhance its quality and service. An individual or organization will also be required to decide on the ultimate the extent of Quality Control actions that will effectively address the issue relating to Quality Control. The third step that an organization or individual seeking to adopt Quality Control and put in place a Quality Control program is to gather and put in place a real-world data.

The organization will then proceed to table the results of these to the organization’s management personnel. The final process is to take corrective action for any unit failures that the organization or firm has experienced in the past. If too many unit failures in the Quality Control process have been recorded by the organization or individual in the past, the next process will be to devise a plan in order to help improve the process control. One way through which an organization can achieve this is by adopting the 6 sigma quality improvement process. This can be used together with a high Quality Control plan in order to ensure that the Quality Control process succeeds. In addition, using the 6 sigma quality improvement process will help ensure total quality management for the Quality Control process.

A good Quality Control system is one that meets ISO certification that has been put in place by International Organizations. This is usually dependent on the particular field including engineering. The aspect of Quality Control usually comes in handy when organizations and companies are seeking to develop systems in order to ensure that the services and products that they produce meet not only the needs of the customer but also quality that has been set internationally. Most enterprises prefer to use a quality manual for their Quality Control process. However, in order for them to achieve even better results, they also have regard to various ISO series including ISO 9001 2000. This is beneficial as it helps them promote Quality Control and ensure high quality for their goods and services.

There are a number of Quality Control jobs that can be made easier using a good quality system and a good quality plan. However, in order to achieve this, the quality system and plan must meet quality standards. One way through which organizations and companies can do this is by adopting the six sigma training. The six sigma training is high quality training system mechanism through which an organization can adopt ways of ensuring high quality process for their Quality Control aims. Completion of quality training enables the trainee to be regarded as a six sigma belt and to also acquire a six sigma certification. In order to promote Quality Control inspection in organizations, most inspectors are provided with control tools such as control charts. This is important as it helps improve the QC process during quality inspection and statistical process control process that is carried out by the quality inspector of the organization or company.

The quality inspector carrying out the Quality Control qualifies as a six sigma green belt that indicates that he is well advanced on matters to do with quality and control systems, quality audit and quality of control in the Quality Control process of the quality management system. It is usually advisable for such a quality inspector to be well conversant with ISO standards such as ISO 17025. This is beneficial as it helps enhance quality assurance control. The other way through which the inspector can ensure process capability of any Quality Control process is also by largely depends on the quality assurance plan of the Quality Control inspector.
