Dependant on experience, I have came across a number of people of various levels in a business becoming “uptight” or having some sort of “audit anxiety” regarding ISO registration or long lasting efficiency audit by their registrar. All you need is more than enough planning and an ISO audit checklist to avoid anxiety. The following pointers force you to and your company becomes much better and effective for the audit.

      A. Know the character of your services.

      B. Learn where to locate the right measures, files and other documents; it is alright to ask them some questions, never guess. Make it possible for all forms and data are regularly updated and completed successfully.

      C. Ensure that your projects area is nice and trash free; make files, notes and data readily available.

      D. Study your quality policy and recognize how it is associated to your job.

      E. If you are quite puzzled about something, ask the auditor for a lot of clarification. If a question remains not clear, then ask somebody that will help you comprehend it. Try referring him or her to another staff if the question isn't your task to answer. Don't just guess.

      F. Answer questions accurately. Stop speaking after you answer the query. Be certain that everything you say is true and all are well-documented.

      G. Understand what to do if ever a complaint was filed to you.

      H. Know what carried out with any non-conforming material (if it relates to your work).

      I. Study the various corrective action processes and know who is in command of it.

      j. If you work includes some special or regulatory requirements including FDA, FAA, special handling requirements and others, ensure you can demonstrate them.

      K. Establish your main objective.

      L. It is strongly prohibited to generate a guess if ever you are not informed about problem.

      M. DON'T ARGUE with the auditor. Questions posted by the auditor are okay, don't start a struggle.

      N. Please be reminded that this isn't an argumentative happening. Your business is giving out cash for the auditor to perform his or her duty and he or she is actually an individual. The auditor cannot fine you, make you jail or get you ignored. It is the auditor's task to make sure that all QMS are meeting the standards.

      O. The auditor will not show you everything, but he or she may give advices. Try to listen closely and learn.

      P. Stay positive. We have an effective quality system and we are an amiable company. It is alright to talk about our successes as long as you can present some proofs.
